Our core subject curriculum requirements drive the use of technology in the classroom, as well as in the multimedia center. The St. Augustine classroom teachers and the technology coordinator work together to integrate technology into class assignments. St. Augustine’s has moved to a 1:1 tablet ratio in the Middle School grades (6th – 8th grade).
The Computer Lab provides pre-kindergarten to 5th grade students with the opportunity to practice their reading and writing skills while learning computer basics. Students in all grades progress through a sequence of increasingly complex computer skills and applications. Keyboarding, proficiency in basic software applications, Internet use and extension of skills and ideas are the focus of this area. Integration of technology results in improved student achievement, staff effectiveness and communication within the school’s community.
