St. Augustine Elementary and Middle School uses a quarterly schedule with report cards issued every nine weeks and progress reports each mid-term. Through our online Power School management system, parents can review student grades/performance.
Early Childhood students in grades K3 and K5 are graded on a letter grade scale from excellent to unsatisfactory.
Elementary students in grades 1 – 5 are given numeric averages for all core subjects (Religion, Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science) and receive 'excellent', 'satisfactory’/'unsatisfactory’ or 'improvement needed', marks in all other subjects.
Middle School students are given numeric averages in all subjects along with citizenship marks. Middle School students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade receive a mid semester exam in all core subjects, semester final grades with a semester final exam in all core subjects, worth 10% of the final grade. Middle school students with straight As or all As and Bs are recognized each term on the respective Honor Rolls.
